The Collection Aston Martin hosted its first-ever “For the Love of Beautiful” Women’s luncheon on Thursday, January 24th, 2019. The luncheon took place at Fiola Miami where guests enjoyed a great cocktail reception and later made their way into the infamous wine room. This event was designed to celebrate some of the top influential women in the automotive industry, including Laura Schwab, President of Aston Martin Americas. She is currently one of only two female automotive presidents in the entire automotive industry.
Guests were greeted by a beautiful display of Aston Martin vehicles including the DB11 Superleggera, two DB11 Volantes and a Vantage. After pictures were taken in the flower filled Aston Martin DB11, they were given personalized “wonder woman” inspired bracelets, instead of traditional name tags.
In the wine room, guests were greeted by the President and CEO of THE COLLECTION, Kenneth Gorin, who introduced the room to Laura Schwab. Laura spoke on her inspiring, fascinating rise to President of Aston Martin Americas and shared her ups and downs on her way to breaking through the glass ceiling.
Attendees were also pleasantly surprised when they learned about the generous donation THE COLLECTION Aston Martin was giving to Women of Tomorrow. In honor of this partnership, THE COLLECTION Aston Martin will be donating a 2-year lease on a new 2019 Aston Martin Vantage to the Women of Tomorrow Gala in March. To celebrate Laura Schwab and all of her achievements, THE COLLECTION has also created the Laura Schwab Aston Martin Scholarship fund for the Woman of Tomorrow Scholarship and Mentor program.
