The Collection building a stand-alone Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Coral Gables

The Collection is adding a multi-story dealership to house a stand-alone Jaguar and Land Rover showroom and service facility. According to the Miami Herald, the expansion of the ultra-luxury, neo-Mediterranean designed structure will include multiple stories with the capacity to hold up to 850 new cars.

Details

The showroom will consist of a dark stone facing framing for the showroom windows with Mediterranean details. The inspiration from Mediterranean design can be seen in the arched ground-floor windows, keen cornices at the roof line, and shutter shades for window openings on the upper stories.

Miami is one of the largest markets for luxury vehicles in the US, and The Collection continuously ranks among the top dealerships. In the recent years, Land Rover and SUV vehicles have escalated in popularity in the Gables area. The Collection successfully ran a Jaguar shop, but CEO and President Ken Gorin has been trying to acquire a Land Rover franchise to add to The Collection’s inventory for fifteen years. This new addition to their shop is making this expansion a pivotal moment in the business.

The Future of SUV’s: The Aston Martin DBX

The new Aston Martin DBX

The Aston Martin DBX is the perfect car for those who want to mix SUV with luxury. In the company’s prominent 107-year history, they have never offered an SUV, until now. Keyless start, frameless windows, and a 360° camera are just some of the extraordinary features on this breathtaking vehicle. Although this Aston Martin may be different from the rest, it still represents the Aston Martin brand that David Brown created and that lives to this day.

A New Take on the Aston Martin

Even though the DBX may not look like a sports car, it still drives like one. Comparable to all Aston Martin sports cars and GT models, the DBX possesses double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear axle. It also features a 4.0 V8 engine that can go from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, and can top out at 181 MPH. The vehicle also has all-wheel drive, 516 lb-ft of torque and seats five, making road trips a breeze. This vehicle also possesses the classic Aston Martin grille, which was first featured on the Aston Martin DB2 in 1949! The difference is, this is the biggest grille to be featured on any Aston Martin vehicle, and it still gives this SUV the same Aston Martin feel.

Homestead Miami Speedway Ferrari Challenge

Ken Gorin The Collection Ferrari's at 2019 Ferrari Challenge
The Ferrari Challenge, held on September 6th through 8th of this past year, made for an exciting weekend in Miami for its big return to Homestead-Miami Speedway. Once each guest of the event arrived at The Collection, they received a polo shirt and a hat to showcase their love for Ferrari. Guests were also greeted by Ferrari representatives who gave them a rundown of the event’s schedule, starting with a delicious breakfast.

Once breakfast was over, colored smoke bombs filled the streets of Coral Gables, and over 70 Ferrari’s were led by a police caravan to the Homestead-Miami Speedway. It was quite a sight to see as hundreds of people looked upon the marvelous attraction. Once at the track, our Ferrari Challenge team met with the challengers at The Collection trailer.

Ferrari owners, family, friends, and spectators enjoyed driving their Ferrari’s on the track, while enjoying the hospitableness that the Ferrari brand is famous for. After the races took place, clients also had the opportunity to take a cruise around the track on their own during a specific time slot. The two-day event was a success with our own challenge driver Benjamin Hites taking home first place both days!

The All New Supercar: McLaren 720S Spider

The McLaren 720s at Ken Gorin's THE COLLECTION

For those looking to break free from convention and speed into the unexpected, the all-new 2020 McLaren 720S Spider is the perfect car. The 2020 Spider is a thrilling, full-throttle supercar with an opening roof all packed into one beautifully polished package. The 2020 McLaren offers maximized power and increased efficiency with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivering 720 PS and 770 Nm of torque, but why is the 720S Spider turning so many heads?

In True McLaren Fashion

The 2020 McLaren 720S Spider has a carbon fiber structure that’s incredibly light and strong. The central philosophy behind the car was to create the maximum possible visibility so the Spider would be easy to drive, on road or on track.

Every McLaren needs its iconic dihedral doors in order to be complete. These doors make it easy for the driver and passenger to enter and exit the vehicle. New in 2020, the 720S Spider’s doors have a smaller opening footprint which allows them to be opened completely in smaller parking spaces.

To maximize efficiency and performance while minimizing drag, the 720S Spider’s design is a testament to McLaren’s dedication to aerodynamic standards. Looking as though it has been sculpted by the air itself, the Spider is the product of painstaking aerodynamic optimization fueled by McLaren engineers and designers.

The Future of Luxury: The 2020 Audi R8 V10 Decennium

The Audi R8 V10 Decennium driving on a winding road

This past October, Audi unveiled their beautiful new vehicle, the 2020 Audi R8. Alongside the announcement of the new and improved Audi R8 was the Audi R8 V10 Decennium model. This extremely limited-edition Audi vehicle packs a 5.2 liter V10 engine under the hood for maximum performance capabilities. Many people are familiar with the standard Audi R8, which might make them wonder, what makes this model any different?

What Makes the Decennium Unique?

For starters, this limited-edition Audi R8 is being released in a limited run of only 50 vehicles in the United States! The Audi R8 V10 Decennium Model is named after the Latin word for decade: decennium. The car is meant to represent the past 10 years of Audi and their successes throughout the years. The engine inside the Audi R8 V10 Decennium has been in the works since it was initially in the 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo. Since Lamborghini and Audi are both owned by the same parent company, they both utilized this unparalleled engine in their vehicles. This marvelous vehicle has an impressive top speed of 205 mph to match its impressive aesthetic.

THE COLLECTION’S Hurricane Dorian Relief Drive

Hurricane Dorian Relief Drive at The Collection

The initiative taken by The Collection to support those affected by Hurricane Dorian this past September during the Hurricane Dorian Relief Drive had a major turn out given the very short notice. As the category five storm was wreaking havoc in the Bahamas, The Collection reached out to the community through social media, email, and Amazon’s Wish List. The items donated were either dropped off at the dealership, or volunteers picked them up from the donors. A jaw-dropping amount of food and supplies were contributed with a little over 39 pallets of goods sent to the Bahamas. The work put in by the volunteers to sort and repack the commodities was crucial, without whom the relief drive would not have been possible.

Change does not happen alone, and this would not have been successful without the help from everyone who pitched in any way they could to help this noble cause. It was a heartwarming event to see everyone stand up for each other and come together to rebuild the community during such tragic times. We want to thank everyone who trusted us and made our first relief drive a success.

A special thank you to:

Instant Signs, Duran Studios, VS Imports, Rebeca Bared, Erica Adams, Nema Bahamas, Global Empowerment Mission, and Amazon
